Super Mario World Adventure Redux More Information

Super Mario World Adventure is one of many hacks based on the classic platformer. This one features a bunch of new levels to play through, albeit this isn’t really a full game. It’s sadly only in a demo stage so far; whether or not the game will be further developed from here remains to be seen.

What there is shows promise, though. The graphics are remarkably crisp, and the level design is as enjoyable as in any great Mario World hack. After all, this hack is meant to feel like an expansion pack to the original with new graphics, enemies, gameplay tweaks etc. while still having its own ideas and style.

There may only be so much a demo could offer, but it may still be worth checking this one out anyway. That is, if only to help support the developer. You never know where the hacker may wind up next.

Question : I have Downloaded The ROM Hack But What Do I Do Next?
Answer : Watch this video for instructions on what to do. When you download this hack the download will contain a .ips file (Not a ROM file), This .ips file is a patch which you need to apply to the original ROM in order to be able to play the hacked game. The easiest thing to do is copy the .ips file in to the same folder as the original ROM and make sure the .ips and .rom file have the same name, for example

  • Super Mario World Adventure.ips
  • Super Mario World Adventure.rom

Now launch your emulator and then open the ROM and you should be able to play the hack. If the hack does not load you will need to patch the ROM file with the IPS file.
