Super Ghouls’n Ghosts Restoration More Information

SCD is back with another Japanese-to-American restoration project for the SNES. This time, the hacker focuses on doing this to Super Ghouls’n Ghosts. This Capcom classic went through some changes before it was brought to the USA. Fortunately for today’s hacking communities, it’s possible for them to revert these decisions to restore the game back to the way it once was.

Restored in this hack are the crosses that appear in the background on the coffins. A lot of the game’s slowdown has also been removed, allowing for a much smoother and enjoyable experience. A hidden menu can also be accessed with the first controller by holding L and then pressing Start. Lastly, the clam enemy’s unused frames of animation are put back into place.

If you’re a fan of the original game and wish to play it with these cosmetics intact, you may find this hack to be worth downloading. After all, there could be some intriguing elements to it that you wouldn’t have witnessed before.
