Final Fantasy VI – The Eternal Crystals More Information

Final Fantasy VI – The Eternal Crystals is a rather extensive hack of the SNES original in which the game changes everything to the point where it may as well be a game of its own. New music, enemies, scripted events, characters, and more are crammed into this feature-filled hack. From items and spells to dungeons and graphics, this hack has pretty much everything.

This version of the hack is dubbed Version X. It’s actually a “re-hack” of the old “Eternal Crystals” hack (versions 9.08 and earlier). Other versions were built on top of one another, where this one was started from an original ROM and matched many of the aspects of the older versions. This is a completely playable hack from beginning to end. While it maintains the basic structure of the original game, it is very much loaded with surprises.

Fans of the original game are sure to want to sink their teeth into this newly expanded creation. It has plenty of original elements and things to love about it; you can certainly expect something beyond a slight variation of a familiar experience.

Answer : Watch this video for instructions on what to do. When you download this hack the download will contain a .ips file (Not a ROM file), This .ips file is a patch which you need to apply to the original ROM in order to be able to play the hacked game. The easiest thing to do is copy the .ips file in to the same folder as the original ROM and make sure the .ips and .rom file have the same name, for example
