Earthbound (SNES) Cheats

Getting The insignificant item – The first step is to go to Threed and defeat Belch. After you have done that go to the Threed hospital, second floor. Go into both rooms and check the drawer you should find the insignificant item. This item has no purpose but is fun to get.

Using The insignificant item – The Insignificant Item can actually be used for something. Go to the hospital in Twoson. On the second floor, in the first room, there is a partially bald man in black. Stand in front of him and use the Insignificant Item. You will trade it with him in exchange for a magic truffle.

Get The Pizza Quicker – To get a pizza right away, all you have to do is order one, then call dad, save, and end. Press reset, and load the game you just saved. When you start the Mach Pizza guy will deliver your pizza.

Rock Candy Trick – You need rock candy and a lot of sugar packets for this trick to work. Put them all in one person’s inventory. Now, get into a battle. Have that person use the rock candy in battle. They will sprinkle sugar on the rock candy and it will increase that person’s stats. But the trick is, when you do it in battle with the sugar packet, the packet gets consumed, but the rock candy remains! Continue to do this and you can make all your characters invincible!

Easily Gain Levels – To get a very easy level up, go to the Scaraba Desert. Walk around until you see a little red bug which is the Criminal Catepillar. Try walking all the way to the bottom, straight back up, and looking to the right of the gate. It is very weak and will run from you so all you have to do is chase it around till you enter a fight. You will automatically win and you should receive around 28,000 exp. points! Keep finding and fighting him till you get to the level you want. If you get weak, go to the hotel and sleep to regain your health.

Defeating Gygas – Before you go into the Phase Distorter 2, remember to sell all but the essential items and replace them with “Horn of Life”s. THIS IS EXTREMLY CRUCIAL TO YOUR SURVIVAL! On the first screen, Gygas is there with Pokey in a machine. Now concentrate all fire on Pokey. Use Lifeup B on those that are getting hurt. Now when Pokey stops the fight he turns off the machine and says how spooky it looks inside Gygas. Then you go head to head with Gygas himself. Using Bash & Shoot (And of course Lifeup B) fight him until Pokey stops the fight and makes Gygas stronger. Now you can use PRAY, which wears out after 9 uses. From then on, use the “Horn of Life”s. After you run out of everybody but you and the girl it seems like a hope is lost and all you have left is spirit! Now use PRAY again until Gygas is defeated!

How To Defeat The Last Boss – To defeat the last boss, have Paula pray nine times while your other members heal and attack. Ness’s special attack works great, and so does Jeff’s bazooka.

Easy Money – There are several ways in this game to earn some quick cash. One way is to raise chickens. First, buy them for $12 and keep them.¿ Wait till they turn into chickens and then sell them for $110! Two places where you can get free eggs are Happy Happy Village and a monkey in Tarah Rama’s Cave. Another way to get money is to buy Broken Cannons for Jeff in Scarabia and then go Twoson. Keep sleeping in Paula’s house until Jeff turns them all into Spectrum Beams, and then sell them for a nice profit. While you’re waiting in Twoson, go to the man sitting in the hotel and talk to him until he gives you 50 bucks.

Avoid battles – If you go into a room with a large amount or any amount of enemies in it, you can exit the room and re-enter it and the amount of enemies changes sometimes even taking them all out of that room. This can eliminate time consuming fights.

Easy $50 in Twoson – Outside of the hotel room in Twoson, there will be a man sitting at a table. Constantly speak to him (his response will change each time) until he decides to hand you $50 so you can leave him alone. It takes about 20 sessions of talking for him to fork it over, but it’s well worth it, plus it’ll make up for the night you spent at the hotel.
