Donkey Kong Country Competitive Edition is a super nintendo ROM hack based on the Donkey Kong Country Competition SNES game. This hack is classed as an Improvement on the Donkey Kong Country Competition game. This hack is a time attack game where you have ten minutes to collect as many point’s as possible.

The game starts you on the first level of the game but then skips to harder levels as you complete them. The levels are exactly the same as in the conkey kong country game so there will be no surprises.
The aim of the game is to collect as many points as you can. You will get points for collecting banana’s, killing enemy’s, collecting all of the K O N G letters in the level and finishing the level.
I have played this game a few times and it is very addictive. I kept on replaying the game to see if I could beat my highest score which is currently 3539 🙂

Answer : Watch this video for instructions on what to do. When you download this hack the download will contain a .ips file (Not a ROM file), This .ips file is a patch which you need to apply to the original ROM in order to be able to play the hacked game. The easiest thing to do is copy the .ips file in to the same folder as the original ROM and make sure the .ips and .rom file have the same name, for example
- Donkey Kong Country Competitive Edition.ips
- Donkey Kong Country Competitive Edition.rom
Now launch your emulator and then open the ROM and you should be able to play the hack. If the hack does not load you will need to patch the ROM file with the IPS file.
