Contra III: The Alien Wars Restoration More Information

Contra III is the third installment of Konami’s classic platform-shooter series, as well as the series debut on the SNES. However, there are features present in the Japanese version that didn’t make it over to the American version. This hack is meant to restore these features back into the latter.

Said features include cheat codes, unlimited continues, and the ability to fight the secret final boss in Normal mode. Fans of the original game may be delighted to try out these features if they’ve never played the Japanese release. They aren’t total game-changers, but they are neat additions.

It’s not a bad hack to try out if you’re looking for a “fuller” experience. Just know there may not be that much to it other than what’s described.  If you need cheats for the game click here

Answer : Watch this video for instructions on what to do. When you download this hack the download will contain a .ips file (Not a ROM file), This .ips file is a patch which you need to apply to the original ROM in order to be able to play the hacked game. The easiest thing to do is copy the .ips file in to the same folder as the original ROM and make sure the .ips and .rom file have the same name, for example
