Ardy lightfoot is a creature that looks like a cat and he is accompanied in the game by friend named Pec. Pec can be used by Ardy lightfood as a weapon or as rock wall destroyer and a hot air ballon. When Ardy is hit by any enemies, Pec vanishes and can be retrieved by finding a chest. Ardy has a bouncing tail which he can use if his side kick is not around

As for the plot of the game, there is a sacred rainbow that has been shattered into seven pieces. Ardy is the only one who can find all these pieces because whoever collects all the pieces will be granted one wish however, one of the crystals is in the hand of the evil King Visconti. He is also on a quest to find the missing pieces as well. Ardy does get help from Don Jacoby and Nina on his quest to find the pieces
