A team of adventures is hired by the lords of the city of Waterdeep to find out about an evil coming under the city. The adventures then go into the sewers but their path is blocked when the eponymous beholder Xanathar causes it to collapse. The team continue down the sewers through drows and dwarf clans and all the way to Xanathar’s lair where the final battle occurs.
