ActRaiser 2 is a side-scrolling platform game for the Super NES released by Enix in November 1993 The sequel to the Enix game ActRaiser, it tells a story that parallels the famous religious epics Paradise Lost and Dante’s Inferno. The position of ActRaiser 2 in the series timeline is not explicitly revealed, however many plot details suggest that ActRaiser 2 may actually be a prequel to the original ActRaiser, or take place in another universe entirely.

The game play is slightly advanced when compared to its predecessor but still has the same side scrolling platforming element to it. The Master in this game has a full set of win which players must use to navigate through dungeons and fly from platform to platform. The Master has a sword for attack and a shield for blocking however, it is the magic in the game which makes it great fun.
The game starts off with the Master fighting with Tanzra to give the player a background story of why Tanzra hates the Master. Tanzra was at one time fighting side by side with the Master until he rebelled against him. Having lost to the Master, he was banished from Heaven. After his defeat, the body of Tanzra fell into the underworld and feeding from his hate for the Master,Tanzra’s 7 deadly sins and their minions combined their power to raise the spirit of their leader. Now awake, Tanzra vows to defeat the Master and starts off by released his demons to the world. Taking on the role of the Master once again, players must play as him and defeat Tanzra once again with the help of his angel associates called the Crystallis

Nintendo have posted the following on there website “whether you have possession of a Nintendo ROM for a limited amount of time, i.e. 24 hours, it is illegal to download and play a Nintendo ROM from the Internet” which makes it clear that downloading ROMS is completely illegal. A lot of people say this is a grey area, Some say as long as you own ActRaiser on the SNES you can download and play the ROM as a backup to the physical media, this is not true. Nintendo see ROMS as a threat to date to the intellectual property rights of video game developers.
